First day of sleeping in in a
long time. I think I slept in till about
11am, got up made some breakfast, messed around on my laptop, and then got back
in bed. I know I sound pretty lazy but
it was pouring all day. I made a pizza
for dinner. I put mushrooms, peppers,
onions, and spinach on top of it. I loved
it, besides the fact our fridge freezes everything that’s in it. I keep turning down the temperature of the
fridge and I don’t know if someone turns it back up or what. But all my vegetables
are half frozen along with my pizza dough, but it turned out just fine. After dinner I went with my whole apartment
to Aldi’s and Coles for some grocery shopping.
I have wanted to make toffee so I had to get some sugar, stick butter,
and chocolate chips. We came back home
and as I was walking in the apartment I saw a bunch of people from my school
heading over to the mixer so I went back to my room to get ready to go
out. I was about to head out with a
couple girls to the pub it was at and as we were in the lobby we see everyone
coming back from it. I guess it wasn’t
good or something so I ended up not leaving the apartment the rest of the
night. I mostly floated throughout people’s rooms just talking among
everyone.

Well here comes another day of
sleeping in. This time I got up without
coming back to bed later. I got up
around 11am again and had some breakfast.
I like their rice cakes here, theyre super thin and then on top of them I
mush a banana. It’s been a casual snack
or breakfast for me recently. I picked it up from watching people at work and
seeing what they eat and such. It was
pouring again today, but I told myself I couldn’t spend another day
inside. So I headed out to Paddy’s
Market. It’s really close to Central
Station so I just took one bus over there.
However waiting for a bus took a while being Sunday and then walking in
the rain to the market wasn’t fun. Paddy’s Market is crazy. The bottom floor is just vendors after
vendors filled with anything, clothing, shoes, jewelry, electronic accessories,
and tourist things. Half of it is really
cheap things and then the other half are probably rip offs. But it was an
adventure walking through the aisles. Also
on the bottom floor is a farmer’s market.
It was also overwhelming walking through that. I thought I might buy some cherries or
another fruit but it was crowded and loud.
Every vendor was yelling out prices trying to get anyone to buy
something from them. Some of the fruits
and vegetables looked good, others didn’t.
Above the market is a mall. It was
such a busy crowded day everywhere I went.
It was a good place to go on a rainy day it being covered from the rain,
but everyone else had the same idea as me.
I headed home, my back tired
from standing for so long. I hadn’t done
much during the evening when I thought I might head over to Coles where they
have a redbox. Which redbox here is 4
dollars compared to the 1.20 at home, but I heard your first is free. As I was going down in the elevator I ran
into someone from Purdue who was going to Hillsong, a large church just down
the road, with three other people so I decided to go with. I wish I had worn something other than yoga
pants and a sweater but oh well. It was
nice service. I believe the evening
service I went to is more for young adults, middle twenties. It felt like a concert at first. It was very
dark, lots of colorful lights, glow sticks, people jumping around. I had a headache after the service I think
from the loud noise. But I was happy I went
and fortunate that I ran into people who were going. They have this massive annual Hillsong
conference in a couple weeks that is held at Olympic park in one of the
stadiums and they are opening another city location soon because of their
growth.
They call
chocolate chips chocolate buttons
